  • Immense Size: Hang Son Doong stretches for over 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) in length, with sections reaching up to 200 meters (656 feet) in height and 150 meters (492 feet) in width. It boasts vast chambers and expansive passages, making it a monumental underground wonder.
  • Unique Formation: The cave was formed approximately two to five million years ago through a process of erosion by the Rao Thuong River flowing through the limestone karst mountains. The result is an awe-inspiring subterranean landscape adorned with captivating stalactites and stalagmites.

07. Mui Ne Sand Dunes : Vietnam

Mui Ne is renowned for its gorgeous beaches and sand dunes. These dunes are also known as the Red Sand Dunes.

  • White Sand Dunes: The White Sand Dunes (Bau Trang) are the larger of the two dune areas and are characterized by their pristine white sands. The dunes are constantly shaped by the wind, creating intricate patterns and ripples on the surface.   • Biodiversity: Ba Be National Park is home to a rich and diverse ecosystem with abundant flora and fauna. The park’s forests shelter various species of plants, including orchids and ferns, while its waters support a variety of fish and aquatic life.   • Legend and Name: The name “Ha Long” translates to “Descending Dragon.” According to local legend, the bay was created when dragons descended from the heavens, spitting out jewels that turned into the islands and islets, thus creating the stunning landscape we see today.

Also known as one of the ;Four Great Passes of the Northwest Region in Vietnam’, Ma Pi Leng Pass is one of the wonders of Vietnam.
